Private and Semi-Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great way to focus on a particular topic or area of your dancing, or speed up your dance education. Some dance students prefer a monthly private lesson to weekly classes (at about the same cost); others like a private lesson occassionally to "check-in" and get feedback, or a lesson or two on a specific skill they are trying to learn.
Some possible areas of focus are:
- basic skills
- performance coaching
- Turkish Oryantal
- beginning Turkish Romany
- finger cymbals
- understanding and dancing to the Turkish 9/8 rhythm
What you need to know:
- These lessons are held at my home studio in Arlington, MA.
(**NOTE: I live with cats. If allergies are an issue for you, take preventative measures or contact me about possible alternate arrangements.) - Rates are $50/hour for private lessons, and $30/person/hour for semi-private lessons (2 people)
- Wear something comfy, like yoga pants, and a crop top or tshirt that isn't too loose. Bring a shawl or scarf (nothing with coins, please) to tie around your hips. If you have dance shoes or leather-soled slippers, fine - generally we dance barefoot.
