Aslahan

I began studying Middle Eastern Dance in 1992 in Atlanta, GA. I enjoy performing both Turkish and Arabic Oriental styles, although I do have a preference for Turkish music and dance. Dancers that have influenced my style include Artemis Mourat, Eva Cernik, Dalia Carella, Amaya, and Rhea.

I've has been collaborating with my partner and drummer Benan since 2000. I believe nothing beats improvising to live music, and I've been lucky enough to work with some truly talented musicians.

I perform in various clubs and restaurants in the greater Boston area, and I am available to perform at faires, cultural events, theme parties, and other celebrations.
